A one to one lesson with a level 2 or 3 HPA qualified instructor. For those wanting to learn the basics before joining our academy groups or those who want private tuition to have a more focused approach to learning about polo.
30 minute polo riding lessons are also available - for help with schooling techniques, understanding the aids and all general horsemanship required for polo.
Our regular groups lessons are perfect for those who want to progress through the academy levels (children, junior, beginner, intermediate lessons and on to the advanced polo clinics) before investing in club memberships and purchasing their own polo ponies to play in tournaments. These are also available for those who are already playing at a tournament level but wish to develop their game / improve their handicap. Each lesson/clinic includes polo riding, stick and ball, swing instruction, tactics, HPA rules and fun match against each other.
Our polo experience days include a polo demonstration while you enjoy a glass of fizz, polo riding tuition, wooden horse (mallet swing) instruction, lunch at the fabulous Chester Fields country restaurant, stick and ball lesson (hitting the ball whilst riding) and a game to finish.
These groups are perfect for those from 6 years of age, who want to learn polo and play fun matches against each other. We do advise that if your child has never ridden before or if they are new to polo, that they do at least one private lesson before joining the groups.
Hire one of our horses to practice polo on our polo field. There is no instruction during this time, so you must have previous polo experience to book in.
A 30 minute pure polo riding lesson with one of our HPA Instructors. Help perfect your polo riding technique. Ideal for beginner riders or those looking to strengthen their existing riding skills. Young horse training is also available for advanced riders.
These one hour private groups are perfect for those who want try polo, enjoy a fun activity with loved ones or celebrate a birthday/hen/ stag. You will have access to our social areas and our team are here to help you make the most of the day. Each lesson includes polo riding, stick and ball, swing instruction and a fun game against each other.
A one hour lesson with your friends or with others looking to join in a group. Picnics and spectators are very welcome, making these groups a perfect way to celebrate a special occasion. We offer weekly discounted training and support to all student teams that wish to compete at academy tournaments and the Schools/SUPA nationals. Every Wednesday and Friday evening, we hold practise games at our academy. Come and join us for socials around the fire pit after every session, normally from 6pm. Our HPA instructors are usual umpiring or playing on the field, providing regular instruction, so you can discuss any tactics or rules, whilst improving your game. Horses are available for hire or you can bring your own.
We work with the local polocrosse clubs and teams by providing them a location to train/compete at and our horses are available to all levels of rider.
