About Us

With more than 50 years of polo experience, we assure world class tuition & service.

Polo is not just a sport, it is a way of life. One of the best elements to polo is that it brings people together from all walks of life. We thrive on a lively, fun, honest and welcoming environment at our academy here in Cheshire.

Chukkas are regularly held at our academy and also at the Cheshire Polo Club grounds, which usually finish with a sociable BBQ / asado.

Our academy has its own premises in Great Barrow and operates and supports the Cheshire Polo Club, located in Little Budworth, just a 15-minutes drive away.

All polo lessons, polo experience days and chukkas are held on a regular basis with other qualified HPA instructors.

Instructional academy games are also held for those who are looking for a sensible stepping stone before committing to playing club / HPA Polo tournaments.

Our Team

Below you will find the main faces of our polo academy. We also have a team of dedicated grooms that help with the smooth running of the yard.

An experienced Hurlingham Polo Association coach for over 15 years, who has played high-goal polo professionally, teaches worldwide, all year round.

Having played polo in over 15 countries up to a 3-goal handicap, you are assured of a wealth and variety of experience.

An experienced Hurlingham Polo Association coach, who has also played and taught polo all over the world, most of his life.

Having been a former Major in the Pakistan army, Haseeb lives and breathes polo. We are very lucky to have him on our team to help with lessons, experiences and chukkas on a regular basis.

It is not all about lessons, training and tournaments; polo is also about becoming immersed within one of the greatest social networking groups there is.

Our clients enjoy regular get-togethers, organised by our team, ranging from restaurant meals, hospitality at polo events to BBQs/asados/fire-pit evenings at our academy.

Our Mission

The academy was set up in 2006 to make polo as accessible as possible. A pay-as-you-go system was created, enabling anyone to learn, improve and play polo at our academy.

In 2018 we collaborated with Cheshire Polo Club located in little Budworth, to help provide a natural feed of new players from grass-roots level.

This year we are enhancing our facilities even further by building a 90m x 45m arena and brand new clubhouse. More information will be posted once construction is complete.
